A Dream in the Dusking Sky

I saw the sea
for the first time
many years back
I saw
like a dream
a pristine blue
walking into the sky
blinding my eyes
I looked for the horizon
in the endless blue
my untiring eyes
my heart
sinking slowly
to the hum
to the drunken waves
and I saw you that day
suddenly like a dream
listening to me
far from the sea
silently with your eyes
with that gleam
I knew
that was a dream
soon to be washed
by the jealous waves
I closed my eyes
with the setting sun
holding my dream
in my heart
a dream
in the dusking sky
